Stay #HoustonStrong as we pick ourselves up and move forward to finish 2017 strong! We’ve got some exciting things to do this November to provide some much-deserved relief after Hurricane Harvey. We’ve got great food, drinks, and even an excuse to dress up as a zombie or your favorite Game of Thrones character!
- Feast With the Beasts
When: November 3, 2017, 7 pm. – 11 pm
Where: Houston Zoo
The 12th annual Feast with the Beasts event will feature 60 of Houston’s hottest restaurants, unique animal presentations and feedings, and a live performance with musical guest Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. 2017 marks the 24th anniversary of Big Bad Voodoo Daddy’s remarkable arrival onto the music scene.
There will be Meet the Keeper Talks presented by Phillips 66 and animal experiences scheduled throughout the evening.
- Zombie Charge
When: November 4, 2017
Where: Tanks Paintball, Richmond
The Zombie Charge is the most authentic zombie-infested 5k mud run with obstacles, trails, mud, swamps, and surprises coming back to the Houston area in 2017!!! As a runner, you have to strategically run the course and survive by avoiding the zombies charging after you trying to steal your flags. As a zombie, you have to grab the oncoming runners’ flags. Either way, your heart will be racing! Do you have what it takes to survive?
- Little Woodrow’s Annual BBQ Cook-Off
When: November 4, 10 am – November 5, 2 am
Where: Little Woodrow’s Bar & Grill
Little Woodrow’s Annual BBQ Cook-Off switched things up this year – from a wild game cook-off to a straight up Texas style BBQ cook-off…with a little twist. There will be 3 traditional categories (BRISKET – RIBS – CHICKEN) plus an OPEN category for any meat outside of the 3 traditional categories. The day will be filled with music, a great lineup of college football, and of course BBQ!!!
- Brewmaster’s Craft Beer Festival
When: November 24 – 26. 2017
Where: Moody Gardens Hotel in Galveston Island
Voted by the readers of USA Today as one of the top 3 beer festivals in the country, the Brewmaster’s Craft Beer Festival is an award-winning event showcases products like live music, beautiful scenery, and the beach, beer, brew heart apparel, and cutlery based products.
- Texas Renaissance Festival
When: September 30 – November 26, 2017 (weekends)
Where: Todd Mission
The Texas Renaissance Fest is back for its 43rd year. It started in September but because it’s running for nine weekends this year, you can still catch in until November 26.
The nation’s largest, most acclaimed Renaissance themed park. Each year, The Texas Renaissance Festival presents an enchanted world full of Kings and Queens, Lords and Ladies, Knights, Nobles, Fairies, Elves, Pirates, Barbarians and other fanciful interactive characters. Be entertained by a spectacular assortment of unique performers: musicians, magicians, acrobats, jugglers, dancers with over 200 daily performances on over 20 stages throughout the village.
