The power of positive thinking is real. Google it and you’ll find tons of research and studies on how your brain has the power to affect your overall health and wellbeing. When we think something, we feel something…and in many ways we make it so.
Now that’s not to say that we can will millions of dollars or a yacht into existence..but we can shape ourselves and make success, and fulfillment, more possible. These four mental mantras can get you on the path to success while also finding fulfillment in life through their positive, motivational message.
“Showing up is success.”
We often think of success as some end goal. We start out with a goal of becoming a wealthy person and we only see ourselves as fulfilled when that specific achievement is met. The reality is that some goals are unattainable — or at least it will take you awhile to get there.
You have to start looking at success as something other than arriving at Point B. Smaller successes count too, and every step you take towards your goal is a victory in and of itself. Success isn’t the big picture, but instead moving towards making that picture come into focus.
“Nothing stays the same for long.”
Life can be stagnant at times. Sometimes this is good, and other times it’s bad. You may feel like you’re in a rut and that success will never come to you. You may have found success and you now feel like your journey can finally be over.
The message of “things change” is one that is truly a double edged sword. It means that the bad times can turn for the better and the good times can turn for the worst. What do you take away from this? That life is constantly changing, and you have to be prepared for the ups and downs. When you work towards tomorrow, you help to sustain your today.
“Listen to your vibrations.”
Do you ever walk down the street and feel eyes on the back of your head? You turn around to see a man following you…he’s not outwardly suspicious, but he does give you a nervous feeling in the pit of your stomach. Your gut is telling you to stay away…but do you listen?
Our gut isn’t just there to help us get out of stranger danger situations. Your inner vibrations have a certain amount of intuition within them, and there’s science that says your intuition is more than new age mumbo jumbo. Learn to trust your instincts, whether it’s about someone’s true intentions or the right life path to go down.
“You are enough.”
It’s one thing if those around you tell you you’re good enough, but as people we often don’t say it to ourselves as much as we should. You are enough. You are a person worth investing in. Don’t be disappointed if you don’t immediately succeed or wind up somewhere outside of where you thought you might be in life. Your journey is an important one, and you’re the most important piece of that puzzle.
